Almost there !
Tomorrow is the day I finally post the first episodes of this podcast, on October 1st, so I thought it would be a good idea to have a sort of introduction to the podcast, in order to tell you more about what is going to happen aroun
d here… And when I say here, I mean on this website but also on all social media, and all podcast platforms ! Cause yes, Waves Podcast is going to be EVERYWHERE ! As a matter of fact, all of these are linked here, so feel free to check them out !
It’s hard to describe exactly what Waves Podcast is. Even when I tried to keep it as short and simple as possible, it gave a 7 minute long audio so… Yeah. If you want to get all the details as to why I decided to pick this title, please just listen to this introductory episode. Here I’ll focus on the content and the aim of this thing.
What is Waves Podcast?
Well It’s a podcast. Yes. But not any podcast ! Basically the idea is to try and interview people who have decided to start doing what they want, whether they’re already successful or on their way there. People who’ve taken that leap of faith and are ready to talk about it. We talk about their transition from “normal jobs” to the ones they really wanted, the whole process, and as the conversation goes on we usually stray further into deeper concepts. It’s hard to explain this without giving you any examples, but let’s just say that we go from questions like “What did you study?” to “How to be more creative?” or “How to deal with negativity?. In many ways we could consider this a self-help podcast, or something that has to do with learning and education. But given that I’ve never read any self-improvement books – or at least not yet, it might come – and that I’m not really teaching anything but more like trying to understand stuff by questionning my guests, I’d put this in the “Discovery” category.
Who are the guests you chat with?
Anybody. Everybody. Literally. I want to talk to anyone that has something to share, whether it’s knowledge or a personal experience. It doesn’t matter what they do, what their job is. In fact I’ll give you a hint here. My first three guests are: A youtuber/influencer, an educator/speaker/businessman and a model. I think it speaks for itself, and it’s only the beginning. The reason I do not care about people’s positions or jobs is that… Well I think nobody should. We all have something interesting to say. Some people learn it in books, some at work, some on the streets, but it is still the same gold we dig. If I see someone online that I think would be interesting to talk to, I’ll contact them.
But what’s the aim of this?
Learning. Discovering. Finding motivation. Getting inspired. You and me. Cause I have to be honest a little: I’m not just doing that to make people happy. It’s also because I myself need all these things. I just graduated and would love to find what I should do, how, and then find the motivation to do so. And since I’ve noticed that I’m far from being alone in that case, I decided that I would share this via a podcast. And I’d be lying if I said that recording that did not help to convince my guests to chat with me. But still, helping people is cool too ! 😀
So yeah. If you are in the same situation as I am, on a seemingly endless quest of “what do I do with my life?” well you might want to stick around. Obviously I’m just starting this, and the audio in the first two episodes was not the best, but the content? DAMN. I mean seriously it’s already helped me a lot, so I hope it will be the same for you. And if you wanted to help me meet my guests in person and not via Skype, and so improve the audio quality, well please consider talking about this podcast to your friends ! And if you have a few bucks to spare you can also do a monthly donation on Patreon, that would help a LOT !
Anyway ! See you on Anchor, Youtube, Soundcloud, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, Breaker, Castbox, Google Play Music, Overcast, Pocket Casts, PodBean, RadioPublic, Stitcher, TuneIn… Yes. Waves Podcast is on all of these ! 😉
